BRITISH COLUMBIA FASHION WEEK
BC Fashion Week (BCFW) is a high profile event aimed at establishing Vancouver as an emerging fashion centre and a true partner in the global fashion world.
Not-for-profit organization, was created to produce a unified, organized and centralized week of shows showcasing designers to domestic and international buyers.
Through a diverse, professional and high-standard series of fashion shows and supporting activities, BC Fashion Week puts the spotlight on Canadian and International design while facilitating the Business of Fashion. This international event draw industry representatives from around the world; bringing together designers, media and buyers.
BCFW showcases some of Canada's top and emerging designers and bring some of the world's most influential retailers and media to Vancouver's shores.
DUTIES
• Developed brand identity for British Columbia Fashion Week till Spring/Summer 2009 season.
• Provided creative direction and creative team management for a ten-person, integrated advertising department.
• Conduct training programs for sales team and coaching designers on show visual merchandising.
• Lead creative concept development and creative review for print advertising, social network, online advertising, website development, niche media.
• Recruited creative talent, supervised outside creative resources.
• Presented strategic thinking and creative work for client review.
• Researched and developed new business efforts in order to develop partnership with major Canadian Fashion Brands.
• Provided creative vision and art direction for the development of fashion events for each client.
• Developed the retail channels for the designers across North America markets, through liaison between designers and buyers both wholesale and retail.
